With all of the time Ive been spending working on the site in the last week or so and with the realization that I have a 22" LCD monitor that I rarely use, I figured it was time for a configuration change.  Recently, Greg and I posted our work area configurations in the forum.  So I decided to move the LCD from my office to my living room laptop table and re-arranged some stuff to make it all fit.  I was a little concerned because of the space, I didnt want to have my keyboard dragging on the floor or…

I'm surprised that you had to go through all that to get the monitor working. I truly cannot remember the last time I had to install a monitor driver. I know Windows 7 was easily able to identify both my 24" (even Windows XP knew this one) and 19" Asus monitors. Hell, 7 even knew the model and size of my TV (obviously built into the TV's firmware).

Still, I just find that odd. But, I guess every now and then you run into something like that.

Well, I think it probably has everything to do with the monitor itself. I purchased the monitor on the cheap and didnt really spend any time looking at it. I thought it was odd as well, but its only ever been an issue in Windows 7, which is I thought was even more strange.
